Is it that bad :( 60 plus views and no comments!

It's not a bad shot, maybe a color version or a B&W would look better, the processing of your shot doesn't do anything for it.
Don't let it put you off posting other photo's

It's all brown. Nothing special to be brutally honest. :(

I think the composition is quite weak. The horizon is right through the middle. You should've tried to imply something in the shot. Either interesting sky or interesting foreground. Make the interesting bit of the shot the focus of the picture. You could've used the rule of thirds here.

The post processing needs more contrast too.

    Hope this helps.

Colour version would probably look better but i think the composition would still let it down...

I think you tried to do something different and it didn't work out. Fair play for posting all the same. I think it's a very healthy thing to do.

Contrast contrast contrast I'm afraid - Use curves/levels adjustment layers to get varying levels of contrast bringing you into the image - Will improve it no end!

Pic looks very washed out to me, nothing catches the eye at all.

    Polestar,

You're on to a good thing here. OK, the pic you posted could have benefited from some foreground interest to give it more impact, but....the sepia tone suits the mood of the light beautifully, your image has got a level horizon and is very sharp (i.e no shake).

It might sound mad but why don't you return to the area and, using the same technique, just get in closer to an interesting rock or piece of driftwood and shoot the scene again?

I think there is loads of potential here and it is quite obvious that you like the image that you produced which is encouraging.:)

Btw, I would interested in hearing what YOU like about the image?

    Regards,
    A.Partridge

PS...Can you tell us how you processed the image please as I think some others who visit this forum could learn greatly from it.

Processing was minimal as was before I started shooting RAW files. Just cropped, straightened and convereted to sepia. Some minor contrast adjustments. (Very minor obviously from the comments here!)
