PLEAE HELP! Caps Lock / Num Lock are acting nuts!!!

My gf's MacBook is acting a little crazy. The caps lock and num lock keys are working in reverse! As in, the caps lock key has to be lit to type in small caps. Same with the num lock.

I've tried typing on several different programs. Word etc... Same problem on all of them. I haven't installed an funky programs that might have triggered this.

Does anyone know how to fix this? I'd really appreciate any help, thanks!

happened to me aswell.. I put it down to a leopard bug. Hasnt happened since I installed the most recent software update. Any time it did happen, restarting solved it.

Same thing happened me this morning.. and my Mac has been off all day.

Switched it on there and it's the same - it's like the Num Lock / Caps Lock keys are inverted.

The only way i can type now is by having both Num Lock and Caps Lock on. I'll try typing using a variation:

Num Lock On / Caps Lock On: Fine, can type as normal.
Num Lock Off / Caps Lock Off: 587897987211219/8211 (I get nothing but numbers!)
Num Lock Off / Caps Lock On: 111112112212112 (I get numbers!)
Num Lock On / Caps Lock Off: THIS IS WHAT I GET, CAPS LOCK APPEARS AS IF ON!

For fecks sake - Tiger never had this problem!

EDIT: Installed the latest update from Leopard there and it's fine now. Very odd!
