Though the job conspired to keep me away from the post office for two days, I was able to pick up this Bacchus Woodline P Classic this weekend.

    b1.jpg

No surprises or skullduggery here, it's pure P country, no shenanigans, no funny business, just a P bass as it ought to be.

    b2.jpg

Though they do tend to sculpt the heel a bit more than others ;)

    b3.jpg

It's a good P sized neck, chunky but not ungainly

    b4.jpg

    Immaculate fretwork as usual

    b5.jpg

The burst is so subtle how it fades from yellow to red to black, I haven't seen anything like it

    b6.jpg

TBH I would have rather waited for a while before buying but with the way Bacchus make instruments (make a model for a few months and then never make it again) I had to jump since these are already discontinued.

Anyway, this thing ****ing rocks in every aspect so there's no point in going into detail, that's about as much as I can say :)

Oh yeah, except for the side dots on the neck... they glow in the ****ing dark, what a simple but brilliant idea :p

Definitely a lot more classic looking than your other ones, but I'm sure it sounds and plays great. We do need updated family pics though. ;)

    Real pretty.

Funny thing I've always found about sunburst basses is that they never, ever look too good in photos, but in reality they look fantastic. The different colours never seem as apparent in a photo.

Made me want a 5 string jazz in 'burst now....

No doubt provided by Radium-88 or Caesium-137. But hey, bassists can always use an extra arm or eye on that side! :)

    Nice bass!

And that's the beauty of them, Fey, a functional addition rather than a phallic compensation :p

2nd hand from the u-box before, but this one is brand new from www.guitarjapan.com - their prices are in dollars so they're unwittingly offering a 40% discount at the moment :)

Of course. I can't afford it ffs and if the missus copped it was a new one it'd be lonely this crizzzmus, as Elvis/Alvin Stardust/Shakin Stevens/Mud (I can't remember which) said. It'll go great with that Telecaster you're giving me :p
