Heard that appliances are available for a once off payment and no continuous subscription fee? During these long night such could be useful....any suggestions would be welcome... Thanks A

I hope for your sake you're looking for such a system on satellite. No talk of dodgy cable boxes on this forum allowed!

If it is satellite that concerns you, then you can get a lot of free channels by picking up a satellite dish and even a basic free-to-air (FTA) receiver.

It's regarded as theft in all of EU to use these on cable.

There are no legally free channels on Cable.

You may use Free To Air Satellite reception as there are legally free channels See ICDG in my sig.
