sopcast on campus?

just a quick question can anyone tell me if they have gotten sopcast to work over the campus network and if so how? i have it installed but cant see a way to change the proxy settings in it when i go to a site streaming the player loads but seems to wait at the sopcast links screen for ages when i click a channel under it…
