Hey, I'd be really greatful if someone could help me with my query...

I have a bebo account and want to invite someone to connect as a friend.
If I log on to bebo and then go to their bebo page (after searching for it) and invite them as a friend from their page (by clicking on the invite as friend link), can they see my email address or can they get it any way?

    Thanks

The email edress you registered with is sent to them in an email informing them of your invite, as far as I know

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

    Thanks ScienceNerd,
but I didn't think Bebo was authorised to give out your email address??
I know the other person gets an email (from Bebo) informing them of your invite to be friends but I thought that just contains your user name?

If I recall correctly, the person you try to befriend gets an email.

Also, when that person logs in, they are presented with the accept/reject friend option. I think the email address appears here.

Ah no! I didn't want my email address to be seen! :(

Can anyone tell me for sure as it's really important I find this out...
    Please

    Thanks

Can now confirm that the person you are trying to add as a friend sees your e-mail address when they log in.

Sorry for going on about it but are you sure and where do they see it?

I thought it just comes up.. "real name <user name> has decided to invite you as a friend. Accept, reject.. etc"

I never entered any personal details (such as phone no.s and my email add) when I was filling in stuff for the home page. I clicked the box for "only let select friends view personal info" and anyway the person didn't add me a friend... Surely they can't get my address?

This is real important as I've lost 2 accounts already from spam and other such nonsense :(

The request was in the form:

    [profile pic] | Name
    | E-mail

Hometown and age could have been there also.

You would have had to provide an e-mail address in registration for birthday reminder, friend requests and private messages.

Quick fix: log in, go to Home and then My Account. Change the address, make the friend request, let them accept and then change it back.
