im having problems keeping my starcom 1000 connected to freespeech. Its obviously a setting but not sure which one. All my basic settings seem correct as everything works as it should, but the phone just keeps losing connection. Now its a possible connection to router that may be at fault as it comes up as an AP problem? Ive tried various sip provider settings for various accounts (Blueface, discount voip etc) and it happens with all providers.

If any one knows what i should adjust to keep the phone connected, i would love some advice.

It's NOT a sip provider problem. You have answered your own question. It would be weak signal from your AP. There could be other AP's interfering with your one.

Download Netstumbler and see if any close AP's are on the same channel as your one. Move to a free channel, if so.

Test again. Are you staying within range or your AP?

*EDIT* I have an F100G in the office with a WAP-N AP. I don't have any disconnects.

yes staying well in range of the AP. just wondering if it could be something to do with the WPA encryption?

I have WPA encryption enabled too. The problem is with your AP. Try my suggestions above and report back..
