Do you have to buy night bus tickets in advance or can you pay the driver so long as you have the right money? I want to use it when I visit the boards beers and heard you had to buy a ticket in advance, but a student we had staying said he just paid when he got on.

I know there's a ticket bus at College Green. i think that sells most of the tickets there and then. Depends where you're getting it from tho.

Nah you can just pay when you get on if you have the correct change.

Ticket booth is only for if you haven't any change. After a night on the piss it's rare that you wouldn't so just hop on.

You can pay the driver, also there is normally a van around the nightlinks in the city centre that sell the tickets if you dont have the correct change.

Also wrong forum by a long shot

What I normally have loads of change after a night out because i'm too drunk to count it at the bar so I just keep throwing notes at them.

They're supposed to be running them every night for the xmas period... but no... not my 27N though... oh no... froze my ass off Wednesday night waiting for it..

What date is that starting on? I know the Sunday service started at the beginning of December, and I tried to read the sign last night about the rest of it, and well my eyes passed over it but I was too cold and tired to remember any of it...

And DJ, all I ever do on the bus is get on and stick me 4 quid in the slot, simple has, don't think I've ever bought a ticket!

    You were misinformed.
    Christmas Service 2007
Our Nitelink service almost doubles during the Christmas period with additional Sunday services running now and a full 7 day service operating on all routes starting from 13th December 2007. No service will run Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year's Day.

    •Additional Sunday services:
All routes that currently offer a mid-week service (Monday - Thursday), an additional Sunday service will run on the 2nd and 9th of December 2007.

•7 nights a week service from 13th of December 2007:
All Nitelink routes will run 7 nights a week from Thursday 13th December until Sunday 23rd of December and on New Years Eve. During this period all routes will operate their weekend timetable every night of the week from the 13th through to the 23rd of December inclusive.

There is usually a ticket bus on college street, D'oiler St and on westmorland street. You can pay with the exact fare with coins on the bus. ( Some people think if they are paying for 3 people that the coin box will be able to take a €10 note, IT CAN'T!!!! )

Also the 24hr Spar shop on westmoreland street sells nitelink tickets.

I think that's a londais on Westmoreland Street corner of Aston Quay. If your coming from Grafton Street the Spar across the road from Trinity does nitelink tix. Coming from Dame Street both Londais's on Dame street do tickets aswell. Saves you queueing at the ticket buses.

Tis a spar, beside black tie and charlie's.

I've always had to buy a ticket... Hate having to fish for change, which I hardly ever have...
