If it's just for the PS3 then for that price you might be better off getting a 22" LCD monitor with a HDMI to DVI cable.

Would the resolution be as good though? i have aplasma with a dvi port already, but wouldnt work when i tried the cable. plasma wasnt hd though.

The LCD monitor is 1680 x 1050 which would be higher than the 1440 × 900 of the Aldi set.

The down side is you'd need an external sound system as there are no speakers on the monitor.

I haven't used my PS3 with a computer monitor yet... but I've done it in the past with my 360 and it was grand.

Bloody hell, sounds like a good deal to me!!! It's 1080i compatible, which is all you need on a 19". Hmmm, must "hint" this to the missus...

But that Acer one is extremely good value, sorry to go off-topic, but how would i hook my PS3 up to it? Also with sound, how would i work that?

I dont think that acer monitor will work with the Ps3 , it doesn't support hdcp as far as i know.

For an extra €57 you could get this:

    Gets decent reviews on Avforums.

if you are looking for a small tv then forget about all this 720/1080i stuff, at the screen sizes you're looking at there will be no difference, if it was me I'd go for this 26" full blown tv, STG£200 + they deliver to the sod

The Aldi one has very similar specs and price as this Acer one http://www.pixmania.com/ie/uk/547771/art/acer/at1921-lcd-television.html

I'm also in the market for a small cheap HD TV just for the PS3 really. I don't have satellite or anything.
Some people are saying some specs don't matter at these sizes but I don't have a clue.
Will games even look better than a sd tv on such a small size?

Which seems like the best option in this price range?

For €20 more would you not go for the Samsung from PC World, a better brand and you won't have any trouble returning it if you have a problem.

Yeah I think I might. Only problem is getting it (don't have a car). Do you know whether games should look much better than on a sd? I know it won't be the full experience but I would hope for some improvement.

I wasn't referring to the Aldi one but the one that linked to Pixmania.
