Any sign of it yet or is it still a week too early?

I always used to think it was never Christmas unless there was a Christmas RTE Guide in the house.

Digiguide has the Christmas listings on it already if you really need to see what is on over Christmas.

It's a bit too early.. I work in a related area and the Christmas listings are only being totally finalised this week so it would only be going to print probably around today or yesterday.. Saying that it will still probably have mistakes in it!

Strange though its not out, they usually announce its going on sale during the toy show.
There's usually changes to schedules after these things are printed, no matter how late its out.

Yep I just bought another two years worth of Digiguide yesterday for £16. It's just like the RTE guide only without Pat Kennys gormless smirking face disturbing me from the corner of my coffee table.

Had a flick through the guide there, to see hat films are on over chirstmas / new years. And noticed, that rte have not rated one film with 5 stars. The best any film got was 4 stars!

It seems a bit harsh to give classic films such as ET, Sound of Music, The Great Escape, and a lot more, the same rating, as US Marshals.

Also they gave Oldboy 2 stars! Less than Catwoman!!!!

Anyone else notice how RTÉ One and BBC 1 are pretty much simulcasting one another for almost four hours on Christmas Day? Take a look:
    RTÉ One:
    3:00 Finding Nemo
    4:35 Shrek 2
    6:00 Shrek the Halls
    6:20 Eastenders

    BBC 1:
    3:10 Finding Nemo
    4:40 Shrek 2
    6:05 News
    6:20 Eastenders

How did that end up happening??

It is the same every year. RTÉ always start their movies a few minutes earlier.

micheal doherty has been using the same reviews for movies since 1993

obviously for movies that pre date 1993

why does it need to have pictures of rte personalities (sic) on the cover all dressed up and looking happy and christmassy? i know its christmas and everything but it looks so false or something (probably because it was shot last march!)

Blaithnaid is looking suitably mannish as usual I see.

Why can't we have something a bit cheesy? Why can't the season be festive like it's supposed to be. I love the Christmas RTÉ guide, always have.

As for the Beeb doing it right. This years Radio Times is no great shakes, just a picture of Santa making a snow angel and some people don't even like that...
What a marvellous cover! Just how many minutes did it take to do that! An in-house production I hope. More like a cheap Xmas card!

At the end of the day, it's just more RTÉ bashing imo.

They should have gone for a cover of Brendan O'Connor eating yellow snow.
