    €416 is not what I would consider a bargain. A ps3 is €400 now.

it'd cost more than that im afriad. Typical 8sterling for delivery id say, so 307sterling is 425.888 EUR, according to xe.com, plus 7dayshop post from jersey afaik, so you would be liable for vat at 21% (89.25euro) + 5euro handling charge.

    Total: 519.25euro

Dont know whos running 7dayshop now, but they're a bunch of eejits.

That's not a high price - that's extortion, it's one thing to make an extra few quid on an item that is in high demand, but that's disgraceful........

Guy from GameStop on the radio this morning said Nintendo are shipping boxes here directly from China in an effort to meet the demand, chances of them getting here though I don't know........7day shop drop again in my eyes...

So long as the shops don't start selling them in packages. :(

7day shop drop again in my eyes...

    What comes around, goes around.
I think a lot of shops on the web will suffer when all this is over.

    Hi ALL,
This is my first post here, so short and sweet.
Smyths Toy Store in Blanchardstown had 60 these this morning and were taking pre booking orders for their delivery next week!!!

Might be no harm to check them out. GOOD LUCK

    Cheers,

Price includes VAT at 299 sterling plus delivery, overpriced yes but available online if you can not find one in Ireland, and a lot less than they seem to be going for on ebay

    Not for much longer ;)
I'd bet my house there will be a huge delivery in the next few days and the prices will fall as people who bought them to sell, try to offload them.
I saw one sold for £205 on Ebay last night (can't remember if it was UK or Europe version, both PAL).

    £299 for a Wii,insanity.
My my it is amazing how peoples perceptions change.
A few years ago Nintendo were struggling to compete with Sony and Microsoft and viewed in a derisory opinion by the majority.
    How times have changed.;)

That's a bit odd. I got a regular mail this morning from saverstore.com/ advertising Wii's at the same price. Was going to post it on here in case anyone was desperate.

Looks like they've all decided GBP 299 is the new going rate?!

(Only advantage of this crowd is that when I bought a TV off them before, they charged UK VAT - 17.5%)

Could still be tricky tho. If the item is posted from Jersey straight to Ireland, it could probably still get stopped. And I'm not sure if these guys would be willing to make any special arrangements.

Play.com payed tax to the UK, but shipped from Jersey, and a lot of people here got stung for VAT. Doesn't seem to be a problem for play any more tho.

Do not pay over €270 for one. After Christmas the hype for one will go down and you will regret paying over €270 for one. Is the hype for a Wii worse this year than last year?

Pretty funny alright, it's almost like they're saying Nintendo are charging them over the RRP for stock:p
Don't think I'll ever use 7dayshop again after that, they seem to have gone to the dogs recently.

All items shipped from 7 day shop now include UK VAT. No extra VAT is payable if the items are shipped to an EU address.
