Just came in the post today, been through the manual. Anyone know how to keep the ISO/F/shoot mode/etc display on the LCD permanently like my 400D instead of having to press the info button twice? Sorry if I'm missing something obvious but it's a bit frustrating so far :o

I don't think it will display automatically. In the menu you can set it to display just like the 400D by pressing the Info button only once. The setting is on the 5th tab (the first yellow one). You can scroll down to INFO button and choose the setting Shoot, func.

Thanks mate, really annoying if that's the case. I liked the way it just appears by default on the 400D.. ah well.

Yeah me too. You just have to get into the habit of doing things a little different with the new camera.
