car headunit from america

    if i bought a headunit for my car off an american ebayer would there be any difficulty in using all of its functions in ireland such as the radio and what not?

    radio will not work something to do with the frequencys

    The radio WILL work but it only covers half the frequencies (the odd ones). So you can tune in 89.1 Mhz, 95.3MHz, 107.9MHz and so on, but not 95.8Mz, 104.4MHz, 105.2MHz and so on. There is also no RDS on American radios, so you won't get the station name displayed.

    Some would say not being able to pick up FM104 properly is a good thing, though! :)
