For all UPC (aka NTL Ireland) and Blueface customers out there we have finally convinced UPC to peer with us on INEX and this morning started exchanging traffic. This has dramtically reduced the hops and ping times between the UPC Ireland network and our own. On the tests I have done there is now only 2ms between our network and a UPC residential broadband connection in Dublin! Previously it was somewhere between 25 and 150ms.

Did some ping test - the results were between 30ms to 60ms.
