    Can a RC Priest refuse to give holy communion to a RC, if said Rc Has married a COI in a COI Church?

    I know the priests of the church I was involved in when a practicing Catholic wouldn't have refused, but I don't know if this is against Catholic teaching.

    Good question. Any canon lawyers here? :)

    Marriage is valid in most if not all Christian denominations (I think).

    I think so, if they were married by the COI minister without the RC having obtained a dispensation. Two of my cousins are in mixed marriages. One was married by a Catholic priest (in a COI church), the other was married by a COI minister. In the case where the COI minister officiated, a dispensation was obtained first. Neither cousin is refused holy communion
