I was a bit suprised to flick on tg4 the other day and find south park 'as gaeilge' at 630 on TG4. While i realise the episode had been a little more 'toned down' from the gist of the irish and the subtitles i read (i remember it in english), its a little odd that a programme normally classifed as 18's and shown post watershed on MTV should be appering as part of the teenage lineup so early in the evening? Even tg4's promos for it dont try to play down exactly the programmes content (from their website)

South Park is an animated series featuring four boys who live in the Colorado town of South Park, which is beset by frequent odd occurrences. Off-color humor, politically incorrect takes on taboo subjects, and sharp-tongued cast of misfit characters have made Stan, Kyle, Kenny and Cartman stars of TV.
And now - you can see them AS GAEILGE on TG4 week nights at 6:30.

Nach bhfuil sé go híontach! :D

But yeah. Seems a little strange. While they may not necessarily be saying bad language, it's impossible to santise the content of the show. But I like South Park, so I'll let someone else think of the children. I've got no problem.

I love the show myself. Its definitely not suitable for really young kids but they warn you that.

Aistritear "oh yeah? yeah!" mar "Ó sea? Sea!" ... ceapaim go mbeadh "Ó, an ea? Sea!" i bhfad nios fearr.
