    Hi hope you can help,

I am travelling to the US tomorrowa and i am looking to purchase some stuff and would like some info on their compatability. I need a remote control for my D Link media extender and a logitech harmony remote and also on or two usb hubs and some memory sticks, are they compatable back here, will they work?

    any help is greatly appreciated,

    Thanks!

Memory sticks and USB devices are universal so yes they will work.
The only difference between here and there is the US uses 110v we use 220v - most laptop chargers, mobile phone chargers can handle both voltages, just look for "100v - 240v" on the device, and the plugs are different.

USA WiFi devices won't use Ch12 & ch13 which are in use here.

Sometimes aparently similar products are not and accessories then don't work.

Only European charger generally work on both voltages, it's common for North American / Japanese market gear to be 110V only.

Adaptors work. My Sony laser Link (For NTSC camcorder and 110V) works due to replacing the PSU with a European one and inherent to how it works it does not care about NTSC vs PAL. This is not always the case.

Any SD cards, USB devices or Sony Memory Sticks will be OK. A Hub may need PSU replaced (some things need powered HUB as a USB host can only do 500mA and if you have even one 500mA device you need separate PSU)
