wireless mouse/kb

    Does anyone know if you get the wired mouse/kb when you order an imac and buy the wireless mouse/kb?

    just realised the wireless kb is pretty compact and not as i was expecting i.e. the full k/b less the wire - doh self!

    Are you saying you bought the wireless setup WITH your iMac and you want to know if the standard wired setup will be sent as well?

    Yes 440Hz, I went to the apple website after I ordered and looked at the wireless keyboard, the requirements for it say that you should have an existing kb/mouse for the initial setup. (although this maybe if they are bought seperately?)

    I wanted confirmation because if not then I can go out and get a wired one as I prefer the full size kb rather then the compact wireless one.

    My order was for the imac 24 and I selcted the wireless keyboard and wireless mouse upgrade options.

    I would imagine that it will only ship with the wireless option you selected. As for the setup I am not sure how that will work without a wired, perhaps it comes configured already, but doubtful.

    Aside, if you do decide to go for the wired option I'd be interested in the wireless if you decide to sell. Not suggesting that we discuss that here of course.

    All thats missing is the number pad? Do you really need that? I don't think I've ever used one!? The wireless keyboard is amazing.. I cant wait to pick one up for xmas. Oh and you definitely will not be receiving a second keyboard if you chose it as an option and didn't buy it from elsewhere in the store. The keyboard will come reconfigured

    Has the order shipped yet? Perhaps you could ring and change your keyboard option?

    aye order is somewhere between shanghai and here.

    I guess I can hope it's already configured.

    I use the keypad for MUD client.

    440 I'll come back to you should I decide to offload it, not much point having wired/wireless kb, so if it doesn't fit the bill i'll pm you. it'll be after xmas though as it's an xmas pressie for the missus :).

    proportions must look funny 24" screen and an iddy-biddy k/b!
