    Hi Guys,

Question for ye - my Sister has ordered her new car and is getting it Jan 2nd! She is giving me her car - how nice!? Anyway, my plan was to take out my own insurance on her car on December 22nd/23rd so others can bring me out driving over the Christmas week (can drive, just am nervous on the roads, hill starts, roundabouts etc).

Thing is - can won't legally be in my name until Jan 2nd... Could I just take out my insurance and send in the papers the first week in Jan? I reckon due to the festive season insurance companies wont be open Christmas week?

By the way - my sister wont let me on her insurance for the week cause of her "nine year no claims bonus" :p

I was talking to her about it this morning and she has decided to let me on her insurance... nothing illegal there so!

She's just going to put me on as a named driver for the week/two.

    Phew!
