Hi. Im doing theoretical physics (in UCD), but thinking about going to a finance house or bank after graduation. A mate in trinity pm'd me on a new MSc in Finance u're running ...
Anybody have experience of these sorts of courses? A quick scan of the site seems they have a lot of weight on the linkage with the CFA (which I guess I will have to look up on who they are :o). any experience with them?

Would I be better off getting a job and doing an MBA later on? Or going to the UK for a Msc? or moving to Smurfit  and putting up with El Prez for another year?
(PS - dont post on boards.ie so this is also on the postgraduate forum - apols mods :o )

Mmm only thing I can add is my Prof for Apllied Finance Brian Lucey is involved he told our class about it last week. He said it was good, although he may be biased. He's a very good lecturer but seeing as nobody's done the master yet there probably ain't much feedback. Your best bet is the ring the Business School and ask for somebody involved and they'll explain it to you, probably.

    1. Email Brian Lucey - and put the title of the course in the email. He's very good at getting back by email.

    2. CFA is the most recognised global qualification in finance - very high failure rate though. I'm starting mine in January!
