Iv been single for the past 3 years. Happily single. But lately iv been thinking about getting out there and try and meet someone. I sound so old but im only 25. My last boyfriend was a complete p rick and i didn't want to go near any man since then. There was a few but they either wanted to get into my pants after a drunken night or they were desperate. They were desperate in the way that they kept texting me non stop. They didn't realise that iv got a life and i don't have the time to be stuck in my phone all day, every day texting them.
Anyway i want to meet someone but i dont know where to start. Im clueless. I dont want to try in pubs or online dating sites, so what are my options? If you are seeing someone where/how did u meet them. It might give me some ideas.

I met my current girlfriend on a dating site. Things are going great between us and am looking forward to spending our first xmass together. I know how you feel about meeting people on the pub scene , i got tired of it so tried the online scene and lucky it worked out great. Previous girlfriends i met in bars/clubs , through college or through friends. Never met any through work.
Some of my friends met their partners in work , in pubs , one of my friends liked a girl working in a local shop and got talking to her and is now dating her. you could look into doing a course or joining a club and could maybe meet some one that way who shares a common interest. All the best with the searching and i hope it works out for you.

I dont think you will find any new ideas here on where or how to meet new people. The pubs and clubs are always the obvious ones, but internet dating has being mentioned on here before with some having had success, just be careful if you do end up trying that. I wouldnt worry to much about meeting someone, it will happen when you lease expect it and dont think your the only one out there looking either. Your not. You should try going out somewhere different on weekends, pubs with late bars mainly.

    Good luck.

Online Dating. Why don't you want to try it?

OP, have a search of boards for online dating. There are several threads with other users experiences. Mostly positive I think.

    Did it for you

Speed dating is not a bad place to start. Takes a little bit of courage, but you get to meet alot of people. Your bound to hit it off with someone.

PS - hate that always texting thing too
