I can never understand the way apple is distributed in Ireland... Stores can't get them, yet the apple online store has plenty in stock and ready to ship in "24 hours"....

    So strange

merkuree, stock in US is always much better than Europe, really don't see what your contribution has to do with the original request

Hope they got paid up front from CompUSA. They have just gone into liquidation.

My suggestion to you is to order it online from the Apple store, ship it and pay the taxes on import.....and quit whining.

Yeah true, CompUSA will be gone soon.....but they are selling open box alu imacs for <$1000 for the past few days.....not a bad deal......change brings opportunity.....

what the hell are you talking about? its nothing to do with taxes, an irish resident has to order from apple ireland online, and previous poster said the date they were given for shipping. Quit thread spoiling, I couldnt care less if San Francisco or Afghanistan have apple stock, I asked about DUBLIN. Some people are just stupid i guess??

    Listen,

If you want a 24" there will be stock before Christmas for all dealers but i have not been told the exact delivery date and i know it is not going to be in the next 7 days.

    good to know, thanks

    Hilarious.

You can order through the US Apple store (yep, they have stock) through the use of an IP proxy and have it shipped legally through the use of a forwarding service. You might even be able to take advantage of the 24" alu imacs on refurb through Apple that way.

Takes a little more effort and a little creative thinking....but sure better than whining about a lack of stock in Dublin. But hey what do I know? Sounds like some people here would prefer to whine on a board about things than actually come up with a creative solution.

but let's see what happens......I am sure when Dublin gets its allocation of 200, you will be the only person at christmas looking for one over there, heggie :-)
