    From the indo
Three 'silly and stupid' young mothers who collected cannabis resin valued €140,000 on a day-trip to Dublin have been jailed

Nicola Duggan (27) Dublin Street, Blackpool; Vivienne O'Donovan (27) Farranferris Green, Farranree; and Niamh Tracey (27) Fairhill Drive, Fairhill, were caught by gardai when they got lost on their way home.

Garda William Armstrong told prosecuting counsel, Fergal Foley, the women collected the cannabis in Dublin centre but got lost on the way home and ended up driving northbound on the M1 towards the airport, where they were stopped by gardai who found the cannabis in the boot of their car.

    They don't look too deprived

    Mike.

Seen that in The Star this morning. [disclaimer, we get it free in work. I'd never willingly buy that rag]

Also in the same paper a man was jailed for eight year's for more or less the same thing, ie caught carrying drugs in his car. And like the girls, he was just a courier.

    Equality eh!..

IMO those alittle tramps got off way too lightly.

Also look like they WOULD know €120k worth of cannabis when they saw it.
Judge made an example eh? , give them willies and i'm sure you could make that sentence longer.

Yes, the key should be thrown away. Zero tolerance for those involved in peddling the massive social evil that is weed.

In the middle of the worst drought dublin has ever seen, this is ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC STUFF, but they should have got the maximum sentence.

Listen, fvck droughts and sh*t. These idiots didn't know, or care what they were carrying. And while I agree that weed is pretty much harmless, these cvnts didn't care if what they were carrying was going to further destroy they're neighbourhoods. The were greedy, and they were fools. Now they can be locked up greedy fools.

Indeed. I think most people have smoked, or know someone who's smoked weed at one point or another and would agree that it's largely harmless as drugs go.
The people who supply it however, aren't. It's the Marlo Hylands and the John Dalys and their killers who supply this ****.
Weed gets a warm, cuddly persona of the "Hey man, chill out" hippy. But the scum who import and supply it are anything but warm and cuddly. They will literally tear off your head and piss down your throat if you get in their way.

Sorry, I actually thought of including that information and forgotten. I'm in work and have to be careful what people are reading over my shoulder so sometimes rush through a post.

Of all the things McDowell done and said which were wrong he hit the nail on the head when he said that 'for every line of coke bought in Foxrock, someone gets shot in Coolock' (or words to that effect).

10 out of 10 things that annoy me on the road originate in the shrunken brains of the sexually attractive sex. And yet if I campaigned for the repeal of their licenses, or suffrage, history would brand me a misogynist. I ask you, where is the justice?

Ok, excusing his little mistake (anyway his wife probably made him do it), at least being a man mean't HE COULD REVERSE!.

Im not saying what they did was right or anything but there have been murderer's and other criminals who have gotten lesser sentences handed down to them for more worse actions then that of these three ladies. The gardai knew they had the cannabis, they obviously had been tracking them from when they collected it in dublin..where's the arrest/sentence for the supplier/person they got it from? These three ladies were easy targets for the gardai..oh pat on the back for them!!

Very true, its mad how sometimes people get short sentences for really bad things, and some get long sentences for lesser things. I'll never understand the legal system of that.

    Ah come on. Please?

Last week I saw some oul' biddy trying to make a right turn off the N11 dual carriage way. Avoiding the designated slip lane for womanly reasons known only to women, she instead came to a full stop in the right-hand lane of the carriage way proper, ceasing all of the traffic behind her while she waited for the illumination of the right-hand arrow to make her illegal right-hand turn, which very probably resulted in a low-speed crash (I had since driven on, because I was running low on beer).

I found her non-responsiveness and obliviousness to the deluge of beeping and honking as disturbing as the unfathomable stupidity of her intended manoeuvre. Obviously she was too busy doing her makeup/knitting/crying to be conscious of the sh*t-storm of road rage festering around her.

One day later (not exaggerating) I slipped off the M50 at Cherrywood tailing some oul' trollop. The dozy hussy proceeded to make a right-hand turn the wrong way onto the obviously-one-way bridge. Two of the dumbest things I've ever seen on the road in the space of 24 hours.

But if you cite such incidents, inevitably you'll have the whole boy-racer thing thrown back at you sooner or later. Granted, if your only gauge of good driving is how many people your respective gender kills, we eh...might be flagging. Little comfort to someone like me, who was never a boy-racer. That barometer exonerates all other transgressions, of which women are massively overrepresented, in my opinion.

Solution? I propose that women drivers be confined to minor roads only. Similarly, they should be given what are called Double Provisional licenses when starting out, and when they pass their test 8 or 9 attempts later, graduate to a normal Provisional license. There should be no avenue to a full license for anybody sans penis. In this way, we can restrict women's movements from motorways, and ensure they always legally require an adult, silverback male to be a passenger when driving.

It has been conclusively established by numerous independent reports that all fully-licensed women drivers passed their tests by dressing in tight, micro-mini white skirts and replicating that scene from Basic Instinct, hence bamboozling the vulnerable tester. He is confused and dazed into passing the harlot, consequence of the massive displacement of blood from his frazzled brain into his raging horn.

    They broke the law.
You may think it's an unjust law, but it is a law nonetheless.

The moral of the story is: don't break the law.

Women cannot drive, sad but true
perhaps the Y chromosome contains driving skill?

being a woman myself, I can say that without fear of being called a "typical man" or sexist
