    Hi Guys,

I upgraded to Sky + yesterday.. The Box is working fine but before this I had sky available on all my TV's in the house using the RF output. Now this does not seem to work with the Sky+ box and I don't seem to be able to tune it in on any TV. You can see a very poor Sky TV quality on the other TV's when I go to station TG4.. Tried to fine tune this but its impossible to get a viewable signal.. I seen a note on another website saying:

Modulated output: Note that this works with standard Sky boxes, but not Sky+ boxes..

Hard to believe this could be true. I tried the Services button and 4 0 1 for RF outlets but this doesn't work.. Any help would be greatly appreciated..

hi....sounds like the rf output on the sky box is set to the same channel as tg4 from your aerial. so you'll need to change the rf output channel.

If as you say the services 4 0 1 trick doesn't work, then your probably gonna have to call sky, as I looked in the manual for the sky plus box and it doesn't say how to change the rf output....they'll prob tell u over the phone how to do it!

Or maybe someone on here will know the correct key sequence....sorry i couldn't be of more help...i was typing the post as i was waiting for the manual to download!

What do you mean by you tried the 4 0 1 menu . DId you use this to switch the RF outlet on or did you use it to change the RF channel ??????

Sorry guys, was missing the Select at the end.. I changed the RF output value to 65 and tuned in my other TV's and its working fine.. Thanks a million for the quick responses... Mrs would have went bananas if she couldn't watch her programs in Bed... Thanks again....

I have exactly the same problem as you. My RF out is set to 65 too but I don't see how you can change it. Like yourself I can't tune in sky on my 2nd TV even though it worked perfect 100% with the standard box. My sky eye upstairs will change channels alright but I can't get a picture. Have tried tuning it in again but to no avail. Any suggestion please?

Again - Services, then 4 0 1 and Select. Choose option 4 RF outlets and change the channel number to whatever you want, turn on RF power supply if you are using magic eye. Then don't forget to "Save New Settings". You do have the TV plugged in to RF2 not RF1 ?

RF1 is the loopthrough for your external aerial or cable tv connection, if you have one. Your main telly gets terrestrial signals from this and the SKY output comes from the SCART (or HDMI or component leads if you have SKY HD).
