We've had paintballing excursions so why not have a day at the races for those sick gamblers out there? We're in December now and only 20 days short of Christmas so tought I'd throw it out there.

Would be great craic. Few bets, few drinks, maybe even a few winners (If Big City Banker gives us a nap)

Also means MDWexford and Richie Lawlor have an excuse to come up and back Denman.

    Thoughts?

Shameless promotion here but make sure all Boardsies come up to the Mc Lean pitch......We'll make sure everyone gets the best value :D

Rag2Gar you can just leave your wallet with us at the start of the day (just throw it in the bag) :p

Considering i'm such a degenerate, its a surprise that i have no interest in horses whatsoever and i'd bet on 2 flies walking up the wall quicker than a horse race!

I wouldnt be able to listen to the horsie banter about the Red Rum chap that won a few races in the 70s and the Shergar fella that was abducted by the RA coz he was selling drugs on their turf so you can stick your AGM!

Oh and i'm working those days :p:p

FWIW, The Paddy Power Chase is on this day and I think O'Muircheartaigh is the only thing that resembles value in the antepost book @ 20/1

Oh dear you know me too well....

Does this mean Allan Mc Lean will be offering one point higher for the boardsie bet? Eg 9/1 on a horse that is 8/1 etc. That was the deal last year!

We should all pool our money together and have one big bet, it would make for good cheering when we're leading approaching the last, (oh no I've put the mockers on it..)

I did have €50 on Willie Thorne @13/5 to be 1st person booted out of Strictly Come Dancing a few weeks ago :)

And i also lumped €400 on Emily @3/1 to be kicked out of X-Factor when it came out that she was in a gang and caught on video bashing up some girl. 3 hours later she was 8/11 and the next day she "left" the show of her own accord. Sick!

Like i said, i'll bet on anything bar horses :)
