market share of important search engines

    I have a construction related website and will soon be starting to promote it on the search engines just wondered does anyone know the market share of google versus other search engines such as yahoo, msn

    I don't have any official "facts" & "figures" ...

    In the irish market I think Google would be the major player.

    One of my more popular sites has the following stats for example
    google (organic) 68.13%
    (direct) ((none)) 10.22%
    yahoo (organic) 2.60%
    msn < 0.80%

    I think though it will depend on the target market ... in the uk for example I find the yahoo % slightly higher

    Then if the people you are dealing with are technology based you might find they aren't using yahoo / msn at all.
