Very harsh. It was slightly reckless but in no way a dirty tackle.

He gets a 3 match ban and meanwhile Hunt and Mikel get away scot free because of this ludicrous rule that if a ref sees it and gives a a yellow that's the end of the matter:confused:

I know this is nothing new, but it just beggars belief! How do managers/clubs agree to abide by there archaic rules?

I started a thread on that ridiculous rule a while back (think it was re: Ben Thatcher). The FA is one of the most backwards sporting organisations around.

its shockin the prefect case is this week dioufs tackle vs. keanes tackle,

one was obviously more malicious and dangerous and that one only gets yellow.

    unbelievable

He deserves credit from the FA just for walking off the pitch without hassle tbh.

They did away with the yellow card rule didn't they?

So many bad tackles the last few weeks, Kuyt! Hunt! i'd say were the worst, didn't see Diouf's but keanes one was fairly soft, no malice in it unlike the other two.

What else can you say? the FA **** up again?

Diouf's was vicious. No attempt to get the ball.

Maybe he really was trying to do him , missed and it just happened to look like a slightly reckless challenge. Then he was just happy to get away with it so sloped off for a quick shower.:)

Wasn't Uriah Rennie relegated to the Championship a few years ago for being a useless ref.

Yeah, because the Championship is evil and deserves terrible referees.

He's a waste of space that Rennie guy. Have never forgiven him for disallowing a Ken Monkou goal against West Ham, must be nearly ten years ago now. Have followed him fairly closely since and he makes so many bad calls its not even worth starting on him, my blood pressure is high enough as it is.

That said, apparently he had nothing to do with the decision on Sunday.

El Tel claims he had him ready to sign before it all went pear shaped with him and Sugar.

if LeTissier refused to join man u, would on earth would he sign for spurs?

as he said himself, he didnt need to go training and he was always selected. he 'loved being a big fish in a small pond'

    bale is a great player.

oh, and it was a pretty awful decision to give a red for keanes challenge.

Yeah he wasn't fit enough to be a PL referee. I think Dowd could be on his way down the divisions. Thats twice recently he has let a fourth official make a decision for him.
