Sean from PokerEvents runs a very good game in Buglers, Ballyboden Road, Rathfarnham every Monday for €30 Rebuy or Topup Tournament

The game has run for over a year now, and as with all established games the standard of play increases with time, and experience. The game is run to the highest standard, Dealers at each table, Professional Kidney tables.

There is a great mix of players, and a number of women play on a weekly basis. Numbers have grown over the past year, Starting off with 12-16 players, building up to averaging 25, and in recent months the average has increased to 35+. Last night 5 tables were in use.

I've played this and it is as good as pub tournies get.
The standard is PI55 POOR too, for an added bonus !!!

I agree with both comments, I have been playing here for the past 6 weeks and it is a hell of a lot better than your standard self dealing tournies that you get in most places. I used to play these types in the Dun Laoghaire area but with having a dealer at these tournaments leaves them way behind. As for the standard of play in Buglers.... well lets say that it is questionable at times ( that is being very very very nice). The League that Sean runs is done well, I am looking forward to the final this Sunday.

a QUESTION: Is €10 good value for a pub tournie??

Just an afterthought, some other places charge the same amount for pub tournies but with no dealers, do poker organisers have to pay to get into pubs? is the kit that they use very expensive?? sorry for the dumb questions, just wondering...

I believe players are getting good value for €10 Reg and getting dealers! The Dealers are the expensive part of running a tournament.
