    Hey guys,

I have a Romanian work colleague who is heavily into Archery, and he is looking to import his bow from Romania. He was wondering what steps, if any, would need to be taken to legally import his bow?

    Cheers.

There wouldn't be any problem bringing the bow over. You don't need a licence to own a bow here so no need to even declare it going thhrough customs.

Certain ferry companies wont let you bring them on your boats but you can put it in your check in plane luggage or stick it in the post

You can use UPS but be careful of fedex cos sometimes they refuse to carry stuff if they reckon its a weapon....
Which is daft cos they ship archery stuff all over the world... Go figure:confused:

Those treacherous swine in Fedex refused to ship my gear to the US (even though it was dismantled and in a bowcase), as they deemed it to be a wepaon. Make sure he has the gear well-padded, couriers and airlines can be tough on archery gear.
