    I think the program opens in Feburary or March and i think the student ones go fairly quick inititally.

    I went to Canada a few years ago, then there was NO Canadian J1, instead you just get a year long youth visa but only stay 3-4 months. Bit ****, but them's the rules (as they were then, may have changed).

    Some advice for when you queue up for USIT - have everything ready, like photos certs college stuff. So many people go up having forgotten something and some miss out.

    I did that two years ago.. all I did was, on the day that registration is available on the website... I got up at 6am tyhat morning, had a few coffees and smokes and got everything together by the time registration opened at 8am. and from 7.59am I refreshed a few times until it was open, then I registered and no hassle.
