Will there be a heave against Bertie?

Well I think the writing is on the wall now for Bertie. His credibility declines by the day. When your own party members start to turn against you as O'Keefe and O'Flynn have done, and presumedly they are the most vocal of internal opponents, then it's only a matter of time before more follow.

Truth is this third term has been one disaster after another and Bertie's legacy has been badly damaged not only by the tribunals, but also the mismanagement of the economy, health system, and property market.

The ultimate responsibility lies with him because he has chosen his ministers and they are obviously not up to the job.

And the current political uncertainty doesn't benefit the economy either as people are wondering when Bertie is going to go, who will replace him and what their policies will be. So in the national interest he should now name a definate date for his departure, put an end to the uncertainty and leave with a bit of grace and in the national interest.

Bertie will be heaved not in the National Interest but in Fianna Fail's interest
When enough backbenchers start getting worried, nearer to an election time, then the sharks will start circling. One of the signs will be the front bench wanabee Taoiseachs starting to prune themselves in public like a male peacock looking for a mate.
It will be a disgusting sight.
Also some front benchers may be hoping Biffo has a couple of tough budgets to cause his popularity to drop a wee bit, so that they have a better chance.

I am not allowed discuss …

marcsignal-whilst that was very funny,I don't think it's very appropriate to be posting what amounts to cartoon porn.
