Does anyone know of a supplier of free-range pork in the midlands? I'm based in Westmeath so any surrounding counties are within fairly easy reach.

Great to hear someone taking an interest in free range pigs!

I find free range pork is difficult to get anywhere.:(

http://www.caherbegfreerangepork.ie/Frames.htm not in the midlands but it's a free range pig farm in Cork, they do lovely stuff.

Thanks Schlemm - we have tried Black Bacon in Enniskillen (which is fantastic but too far to travel regularly for us). I found a couple of suppliers in Cork but surely there are more than just 3 or 4 in the entire country?

We just don't eat pork, except for the rare occasions we manage to get free-range...

I believe that the Carty's are going to start supplying free range organic pork to Supervalu and Dunnes soon.
I have given up trying to buy free range pork and am now growing my own saddleback pigs, they should be ready around February.
