Req: PAYG phone deal

I was looking for a good payg phone deal.
I am with o2 and would usually buy a phone with free credit and then use that €10 for the next 6-8 months or so. Thats all I would use and when it ran out it would be time for a new phone anyway.

Now with these deals at o2, you need to top-up by 20 to get the 10 every month. I have checked out vodafone and after a lot of searching I found that you have to top-up 10 every month to get the 10.

Does anyone know of any deals where you don't have to top up like this.
    Thanks

The best phone on PAYG is the K800i on either Vodafone or o2.

I just got a nokia 5200 with Vodafone PAYG, it comes with 120 free credit that is added at 10 euros per month, regardless of how much you top up by per month. But i think that you need to top up at least once every 6 months or your account will be limited to recieving calls. But i could be wrong on that.

The phone costs 99, and if you are only paying 10 euro's per month it might suit you.
Not the best phone on the market, but a good deal.

I thought vodafone had gone down the route of you must put a tenner in a month at least

I use a tenner a month, get a 400 text bundle and also text from net in bulk and it lasts loads and keep the calls to a minimum

Meteor have deals like this, where they will give you your free credit without having to top up with 10/20 euro per month, although I think you have to top up with 10 or 20 euro in the first month only.

Look at www.tescomobiles.ie . You can keep your own number, and calls are 20c/min anytime flat rate to ROI mobiles/landlines. Texts 9c. Bundles available.

    cheers for the replies.
then use that €10 for the next 6-8 months or so

Sorry, here I meant 10 per month.

From what I could find on the vodafone site, it seems that you get the 10er only if you top up by a 10er in the previous 30 days. 02 are even worse now with topup of 20 to get the 10er.
I am def. moving from them as I would never spend 30 a month.
I haven't been able to find the policy on meteor, but will check out tesco.

I suppose vodafone are not the worst and they have some nice phones.
