Here's the trailer for Marco Caro's latest Dante 01. I've been looking forward to seeing it for quite some time and the film looks quite impressive. Caro for those who don't recognise the name worked with Jean-Pierre Jeunet on a number of films. They co-directed a number of films together, most notably Delicatessen and The City of Lost Children, and he was also responsible for a lot of the art direction on Alien Resurrection.

The film is released in France on the 2 of January with no release date set for Ireland as yet. Hopefully this will receive a cinema release and not be dumped straight to DVD over here like so many other Sci Fi or foreign films.

That certainly looks very impressive indeed, although some subtitles would be nice ;)

That's Lambert Wilson who was indeed the Merovingian. He's was also in the rather enjoyable Sahara and the not so enjoyable Catwoman.

If you follow the link, you can watch the opening of the film. I'm very impressed with what I saw. The opening shot is quite similar to that of Sunshine. Hopefully Dante 01 will be this years Sunshine, as intelligent Sci Fi isn't exactly showing up very often.
