    I'll start...

    Threadchoke, v.i.:

To start a new thread, then, before clicking "Submit New Thread", deciding "that's stupid" and close the tab.

Pugsy_122 wrote an abusive tirade against Katy French while she lay dying, but, fearing bannage, he threadchoked at the last minute.

Pre-mature thread creation. Kinda similar to your one OP except you only realise how stupid the thread is after you hit the submit button.

    'Doing a Pighead on it'

Referring to yourself in the 3rd person whilst posting.

    Or

Reliving a great personal experience as a precurser to a hugely controversial question.

Lolquote (v): To deliberately misquote a person for the purpose of making the quotee look foolish.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,264 ✭✭✭✭Hobbes

Glenstal'ed : "Ban with extreme prejudice"

Nas'ed : Someone who threatens boards by hacking them, only not clever enough to realise they left all their personal details on boards.ie to begin with.

12 clicked : refers to permanently banning someone. used to take 12 clicks to remove someone forever from boards.ie. Since then they have reduced that to 1 click.

pew pew: adjective describing a Feedback thread that is ridiculous but very amusing.

Sample usage: That "Why was I banned?" thread is gone pew pew.

I suggest we adopt this book as the official dictionary of boards

    The Meaning of Liff

By Douglas Adams and John Lloyd

    Haha, that's brillant!

You could also use it to describe inane blabbering from a user.

"Thanks for constructing your thoughts in a readable fashion. Unfortunately, they are nothing but pew pew."

    [insert name here]'s Law;

As a boards.ie feedback thread grows longer, the probability of someone posting a picture of a cat rapidly approaches 1.
