just seen this an airsoft news ,its about time .

News from AirSharp- and it is not a replica of big gun this time. Still important and interesting, though. If you want to fire short, controlled bursts, than look at electronic AutoBurst fire control for AEGs:

f you have an AEG set up with a MOSFET install, this is the next step-The AutoBurst Fire Control. With the toggle (easily concealed in your gun) on, the gun will automatically shoot multi-round bursts when you tap the trigger. Length of burst is 3 or 4 shots, depending on battery type/condition, but is stable in use. This will give any gun a unique sound signature, ensuring enemies of who is coming to get them. The psychological effect is dramatic, and the auto-fired rounds seem to magically find the same impact point! Comes as shown, technical skills (crimping, soldering) is required for installation, full instructions ARE included on converting your stock gun to use this setup. We include the needed 24gauge wire needed to do this conversion, as well. Works on ANY electric Airsoft gun!.

I wonder how much it'd be... Also check PMs Gatling :)

It better not be expensive, all it is is a microswitch and a monostable switch (NE555, capacitor and resistor). All together it's only worth about 4 euro in parts.

Edit: To heck with it, I'm building one during my break tomorrow for my G36

the part isnt posted on the companys website just a couple of ww11 airsoft browning 30 cals

I need to work out the correct MOSFET for my aeg now. I thought about doing this before but I never got around to it. Time to buy another clone to experiment on.

Dex, if you make a 3 shot burst controller I would be interested in buying one, but, what the fudge does a mosfet do in an aeg?

Does it help the semi from burning out?

I havent much more experience of electronics than 6th year physics.

A mosfet allows you to run a lower current through the trigger contacts and use that as a switching mechanism to turn on the bigger current going to the motor, this prevents the trigger contacts from burning out prematurely

    IRF3707 is what i've used

    I understand completely, thats fantastic.

I've upped the voltage in my m4 just for a more responsive and usable semi, what mosfet suits an m4 gearbox running 9.6 volts?

    Edit: Dboys m4 stock motor

the irf3707 that i linked to above works for me, it requires a bit more than just sticking it in, there's an article on airsoftmechanics.com that shows you how to do it, you'll need to open up your gearbox and know how to use a soldering iron too.

    this is my 3-round burst

I have a soldering iron, no solder at the moment though, and I'm confident with dissasembling my gearbox.

Sounds good, I dont want to burn out my connectors as I am fond of semi auto!

Done and done. I now have a 3 round burst control that does not require a mosfet. It's a little on the big side right now but now that I have a tracing diagram made up I can fab a pcb small enough to work this special model (selectable burst, not just 3 round, an interesting by product of my experimenting). I reckon I can have a straight 3 round mech assembled and fitted within a week but I need a clone to work on.

Ehhhh, santa? I need a box of various clones to work on for Christmas. 10 should tide me over until March or so...

Can you share your drawing? I wouldn't mind to get it for my aeg.

Mosfet as well as capacitors upgrade looks like a good thing to have.
Maybe in a one integrated pcb.

if you wanna make one up and send it to me, i'll gladly test it for you

or just send me the diagram and i'll make one up :)

I'll draw up a diagram for you so. The model I have working is a bit big given that I was using the only relay I can find for a switch point. Also, the diagram is in my head. I rarely work on paper without getting confused.

Could you outlined how it works. Feel free to go wild on the detail, I'm electronic engineer.
