They seem very strange to me. I mailed them and told them that I didn't like that fact that they didn't include VAT in their prices. I got back a very weird mail commenting on my photoblog and asking me not to contact them again!!!!

Registered to some guy called Roman Nesklada with a Lorraine Baker mentioned on the domain reg.

The site is registered with a crowd called Switchmedia in the UK yet the business address is a house in Wicklow????

Not very, how would I put it?, reassuring.

That reply is class, please don't contact us again. Brilliant :)

Any business selling to consumers must have all their prices displayed inclusive of VAT, a quick complaint to the National Consumer Agency might be in order.

I like the poll on the website too. What do you think of our prices? Well, 83% think they're very high and the other 13% think they're just high. There's certainly nothing special about them, same as what you'd expect in Argos for a lot of stuff. In some cases they seem excessive, even excluding the VAT.

Thanks for that insight :) ,there was something about the site I wasn't sure about ,I definetly won't be using it after hearing that.

    Cheers ,
    Brian.

you are mistaken. i was just surfing (as you can see i am new to boards)
and by the way (this is my personal opinion) I would trust any web site that uses PayPal as one of the payment options. I dont think that PayPal will allow companies to fraud ya

Newly registered users, singing the praise of any company (particularly one that hasn't had much praise singing) often are shills, and can easily look like one when they are not.

Paypal is certainly a safe payment method, and handy too. I wouldn't automatically trust someone who uses it though. They do keep your credit card details secure, so from that point it is better than handing your details over to the shop.

You'd be wrong there. Con artists often use Paypal, as there are ways to use it to defraud people, and sometimes the customer can do nothing about it.

Fair enough but I have been long enough on boards to spot shillers also ;)

    Paypal safe....

Depends on what you're looking for.
    was scamed twice
You need to be more careful. There are lots of scammers on eBay, some are easy to spot, and some not so easy. There are often tell tale signs though, like something being too cheap to be true, wanting payment outside eBay, dodgy feedback, dormant account re-activated, not wanting to use registered post, etc.

You are obviously foriegn ,it comes accross in your choppy english.

You also look like you are trying to come across as local ,by using slight slang that doesn't sit with other sentences you've posted.

In my honest opinion ,your not being entirely straight with your posts here.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 37 alexmaxoks

my English is better than your Russian :-) and I am not trying to come across as local cause i am not local. But most of my friends are local. and i spent here more than .. years
does it makes any changes or you want to change the topic of our conversation? the only thing i can see here that everything is built on gossips. and believe me i am not trying to defend person or company i personally dont know.

Please leave the moderating to the moderators. I can see no connection between alexmaxoks and Xenos so let's give him the benefit of the doubt.

For RAM, or computer in general, www.komplett.ie or www.dabs.ie or www.elara.ie are probably among the best priced. Also, www.crucial.com/eu do very good RAM prices. www.shop4memory.com are an Irish company that often stock hard to find, older, RAM modules at decent prices.

Sat equipment, don't really know, but maybe www.satellite.ie as I've heard them mentioned a few times.
