paypal expanded use number???

whats the craic here?
tried to buy something thru paypal and it will not let me until i enter my expanded use number!
They say that they are going to post it on my next cc bill which i will not get until january sometime!
so i cannot use paypal till then?
jeez what a crap service!
any info appreciated!

Its a security measure so its for your benefit. When you get your next statement you should see the paypal transaction and a 4 digit reference which you will use to verify your account. Fairly painless but you will have to wait.

Yeah, it'd be so much better if they didn't bother to verify that you were the card owner wouldn't it :rolleyes:

You can always use internet banking to check your statement in a few days and see the code on that.

just i that typically i needed/need to buy something asap and this waiting on my statement puts me out bigtime!

Ring up your creditcard company (on the back of the card) inquiring about the paypal transaction tell then you are looking for the code & they will give it to you over the phone. They can see it on there system.

Thats what I did.
