ah well I was getting bored of the usual stuff so I went back to a "project" I was working on, and got surprised by some of the results. So I used an old HP707 camera to take a few video clips of what I'm trying to do, but then I noticed hmm this could be an interesting photo  you can view it on youtube or directly from my site.

Now all I need is a dark room a bit of black cloth and patience, patience and even more patience (trying to snap at the right time), bloody thing is over in under 0.2 of a second, hmm. I would have taken some proper photo's but footie is on in half an hour :D, plenty of time tomorrow. I think a long exposure might do the job ? (1 sec or less)

I was very bored that day, so I added in my toilet, an air conditioning unit that was liberated from an old office, an electric heater for winter, a tv output and a nice comfy chair :)

Nice setup - personally i'd need a wife and kids intruder alarm to be totally comfortable!

The colours look pretty good to me - like the trails of the sparks on the first 2

funny u should mention that, I've nearly got an infra red light beam detector working for working with animals, could be used for intruders :D

The sparks were added by adding in a bit of saw dust into the chamber, so they would ignite as they flew out :p

A jacks in your shed? Nothing unusual bout that really. I'd be more curious as to why you have a cannon in your shed? Expecting a civil war anytime soon that the rest of us aren't aware of? :D

Some of the shots look a little like nothing more than a slow exp on some sort of light. Have you tried a shot from directly in front of it? That point of view might give a nice symmetrical fireball of some kind. Could use perspex to protect yourself and equipment.
