I recently bid and won for a power lead/adapter for a Toshiba laptop. the lead i received was not compatible with my laptop:mad:. Before i bid for the item i mailed the seller to confirm if it was compatible, he said it was but no it obviously isn't. What happens / is likely to happen if the bloke i bought it off is unwilling to admit to his error / wrongdoing?

Was your model of laptop listed in the auction webpage as being the type it was suited for? Was the Moedel number of the chager the same as the model listed in the sale?
I just want to clarify as usually you search for a particular part number for chargers and batteries for laptops etc.
If he told you via email it was suitable for the laptop but it wasn't stated in the auction description then I'm not sure what the situation would be.

Contact the seller with the problem first and foremost and if they're not willing to rectify their error then make a complaint with ebay and see what they say. Really it's hard to say as we're speaking hypothetically and the seller might have no problem with replacing your adapter.
