    Just thinking ahead..

OH wants to escape for a long weekend or so in early 2008 - most likely after we have moved our horses home to new house (*fingerscrossed*) - does anyone know of any animal sitter companies or anything that would look after the menagerie for a few days ?

Have heard of some where they live in your house etc while you are away - kind of house sitters with extra animals! :D

I know of people, who in similar cirumstances, get a friend to feed the animals in the morning and evening.

Otherwise its the kennels and a livery yard for the weekend!

Thats what I was thinking - kennels & a livery yard! Do know yard I'm a now does holiday livery so that would prolly be ok ..

Would be better if someone could live in in an Animal Aunt way but if not thats the way I'll have to go.. unfortunately can't get someone to feed am & pm as horses clipped and stabled at night.. need mucking out / turning out etc - would be ok in summer when they are out .. then just dogglies to go in kennels..

May have to press gang friends into "having a relaxing weekend in the country" (while looking after a shed load of hyperactive accident prone animals :D)

Hmm I think I may have you sorted :D. You should get a pm from someone who's interested in doing it.

If so, PM me your (rough) location, and if its feasible I can try to help you out
    ;)

MY dog CV is almost as good as my horsey CV....and if you've any classic VWs....well, then we're laughing!:D

    Hi DDM -

I've PM'd you! Have dogs and horse but sadly no VeeDubs.. have got a few friends who are mad about them and one spent last summer bringing his "BabyGirl" (honestly - it's what he calls her) back to life from a rusty shell.. she's gorgeous now though..
