sennheiser cs300 headphone questions

I am getting these for my sister as a present to accompany her i-river clix. My question is regarding the Sennheiser CX 300 in ear headphones.

specifically a seller with 100% feedback since August 05, in the description however is "NEW PACKAGING" leading me to question whether they are actually genuine?!

If indeed they are that cheap and real, I might as well get a better pair? Same style in ear headphones - what other sennheiser models are similar to these?

Almost certain to be fakes. There is a long thread about the merits of the fake headphones either in this forum or on the Bargain Alerts forum. I've seen the cx300's for €45 in Dixons/PCworld. www.7dayshop.com was a cheap option until their postage went up.

i wouldnt chance it. i got a pair of creative ep-630's (i think thats what theyre called) for €11 off ebay ages ago and lo and behold they were fake

On the issue of buying Cx500 from ebay, I bought a set from this buyer:

I've bought them as a present, so haven't tried them yet. I can comment on the packaging though. They're in a sealed package and look 100% genuine. I'll come back after xmas and let you know how they go.

Compare the EAN No. or UPC No. (these can be found in the 300's pdf file, available from the sennheiser website) with the one on your own packet. Not a sure fire way of finding out is they're genuine, but it is a sure fire way to spot a fake.
