Single Nvidia 8800gts on Crossfire board?

Hey guys, I did a stupid thing and ordered a motherboard with crossfire support i have no intentions of using a crossfire setup instead using a single nvidia 8800gts will it work? the mobo in question http://www.komplett.ie/k/ki.aspx?sku=336470 Thanks

It will have no problem operating a single card setup from any vendor. It will not do SLI though as you already know..

yes it will work.
have you got the graphics card yet?
the reason i ask is if you read the graphics forum there is alot of info on the 8800gt (very good bang for buck) and details about newer cards coming out soon.
