    Couple of quick things.

    Who are grasp?

And Jonny Kerins pulled out with injury and still managed to win his last fight against Matt Boyle.

As always please inform me of any mistakes to the results! Thanks Roper.

Grasp are new entrants to the League this year. Their coach had an article in the 1st issue of Irish Fighter this year, you might remember it?

Just wanted to say thanks to Mark & all the guys for organising a great event.

It was my first time doing any MA competition, so it was a tough but enjoyable learning experience.

Does anyone know the name of the MMA instructor at Kilkenny Top Pro? I've been meaning to try them but haven't been able to due to illness.

I think its run by one of the fighters Vincent DiRuscio, can't be 100% though. They're all solid lads and damn good strikers. That lad John Paul who trains with them is a lunatic and welcome in KO anytime! :D

Thanks Roper. Hopefully one of the guys from KKTP will see this and clarify.

Yeah John Paul was a good laugh & sorry to steal your t-shirt logo Mark but he made my first time special, he punched like he was holding a hammer:eek:....my arms are bruised to bits.

But he was a good laugh, chatting to him after the fight & before his fight with Mark he was cracking me up saying...."I saw this guy(Mark) warm up earlier I'm DEAD!" No offence Mark but I was delighted for him to survive.

there ar eusually Best/Fastest submission awards, but due to a breakdown in communications between Fighting Ireland, who sponsor these awards, and myself they weren't there on the day. Colm did sponsor a new MMA League t-shirt for the Fastest Submission as Gabriell McAteer of Milford Jiu Jitsu asked us for his student.

I have Vinny's number you can PM me and I will share it with you. They are Top Pro Kickboxing Kilkenny now trying their hand at MMA. Vinny is probably one of the best FC Kickboxers at his weight and holds an Irish title I think, could be a bigger one UK/European, but I am not sure.

Thanks Mark. i used to train at kilkenny Top Pro so I am familiar with some of the guys. I was curious who their MMA trainer was.

I'm going to have to make it to one of these events one of these days before I get too old. :(

From talking to Vinny at the event I don't think he has a formal MMA trainer, the league is just a bit of fun for them, and their MMA training is just waht they pick up here and there, which to be honest is how Point Blank started way back when.

Thanks again Mark. Supposedly they do have an MMA trainer now [supposedly the #1 Irish MMA fighter from what I was told]

Just to mention. if anyone lost an old skool SFUK t-shirt at the league, I have it.

I'll give it a wash an keep it until the new year, but if noboody has claimed it by then, well, it may find it's way into my wardrobe.

Just off the phone with Vincent there, they are all completely self taught, he does not have an MMA fighter training him or his guys.

    Interesting :)

in top pro mma we have adam teaching the grappling( i can't spell his second name but he's in the 75kg catagory) and Miles price teaching the kick boxing. I think Paul cummins might start helping with the kick boxing aswell
