I'm going to grab this on Friday with the Wii Zapper and Crossbow Training, but I'm surprised the weekend passed without any threads about it.

Did anyone get it? Whats the verdict?

It's fun to play but it won't keep you going for weeks like the other RE games did. No riddles, no walking around searching for bits and piceces here and there. Just 1 new level at the end was added the rest is already familiar if you played RE 0-3. Graphics are ok but nothing spectacular. Be aware that you can't walk around as everything is pre-defined, you can only move your head and look around, that was the biggest letdown for me.

I am slightly disappointed but still, it's better then the prevoius shooter entries in the series.

I was fully aware that it was an on-rails shooter before getting it, and I knew its strengths and weaknesses from reviews too.

IMHO it's fun, it's pretty well executed as far as on-rails shooters go, and I've been enjoying it! :D Some parts are pretty challenging too, and I'm enjoying seeing a slightly different runthrough of the three games (0, 1 and 3)

I find it hard to aim accurately using just the wiimote. I think I'm going to have to invest in the zapper.

What aspect are you finding difficult? The zapper doesn't change how the remote works, just how you hold it, so you may find it just the same with the zapper.

Got it friday along with two of these and while it does have its faults, I'm enjoying it all the same.

Where did you get that zapper? Online or in a store somewhere?

    Two questions:

    1) Where did you get the gun remote thing and
    2) What do you do for the action sequence bits where you have to press A?

Got it here online. Well, got two for myself and made the mistake of asking guys in work if they wanted one and ended up ordering nine in total! :)

The controls are configurable in Resi so can assign that to the Z-trigger on the nunchuk.

not sure of the price on this but I held it and it isnt too bad. cant imagine nintendos being much better considering it is just a piece of plastic to hold it

Does the trigger pull back the B-button?

Tbh I'd only be interested in one of these if the trigger... ya know... triggered...

IGN give the zapper pretty poor reviews and although Ive never used it, they say u find urself going back 2 the wiimote anyway

Crossbow training is meant to be fairly rubbish

The mechanism is such that when you pull back the trigger, it slides a long piece of plastic attaching it with a nubbin at the end of the barrel under the b button which pushes against it. It's pretty much the same action as the official Zapper but the spring is pretty good and there is a "sweet spot" where you know you're about to fire - no "click" though.

the thing i like about this game is that you can play 2 player co-operative mode, its about time imo! all the 1 player games out there were startin to annoy me!

the co-op option might swing it for me...

are there any other goog co-op games?

what would be the best zapper/gun to get?
In terms of both price and quaility, I think the models were the nunchuk is separate would be better

do they have the zapper+zelda training in store now?

might get one for RE:UC:D cant wait for the Co-op mode,so i am using the zapper while my brother using just the wiimote ,just to annoy him:D

    Cool, I was hoping that.

There's some good ones on DealExtreme where the nunchuck goes into the handle of the handgun and the analogue stick pokes out the back so you can move around with your thumb while holding the gun in one hand. Don't know if they all do that though.

Might order one of those and RE at some point. Don't really like the look of the Wii Zapper

If I was to buy on online (dealextreme or the link above)
would it be here before christmas, or should I go to the shop to be safe?

I've finished the game on easy, halfway through normal and I have to admit I've changed my mind on this game - when I played it first, it was a bit "meh" but now that I've beefed up my guns and delved into the later levels where it gets bat**** crazy full of baddies, I'm absolutely loving it.

Quality purchase but needs some breaking in.
