I have an old type shower mixer tap over bath. The shower has reduced to a trickle . I checked the shower head and its clear. The blockage seems to be at the tap end. the water flows freely from the taps thenselves so the proplem is upwards. Any ideas on how I could free this up without taking the taps off.
    Any ideas

There is usually a diaphram in the flow valve (to select tap or shower head), is this staying enabled? Is this a hard water area?

Hard enough I suppose. Note this tap has been in use for several years. Is it difficult to dislodge the sediment.
    Tks
