    Hey,

Has anyone tried sharing an Irish Broadband connection with a Wireless Router??
I've it working grand with a Wireless Access point but if 2 people try to use it it knocks someone off...

    Just wondering before I invest!

    Cheers,

    Joe

    And rightly so!

Wireless Access Points differ from Wireless Routers in that access points let you connect to a network that is managed by a router elsewhere, whereas Wireless Routers will let you connect and it'll manage the connections too.

When you have IBB, a wireless access point, and 2 PC's, it's that same as having IBB, 1 cable, and 2 PC's! you can only connect one at a time! What you need is a wireless router that can manage the traffic from multiple PC's on one internet connection.

[edit] BTW, i shoud say, i have IBB and a Netgear WRG614 v7, with 4 laptops on the wireless, no problems at all!
