sky box problem

    lads my father is stuck without any tv to watch

    there was terrible weather in my area

    my sky is working perfect same for my mothers

    we're all hooked up to the same dish

    he's box turns on no bother but it says on the screen, no signal being received

    i plugged it out for a few minutes and pressed tv then sky button

    no luck whats so ever

    i smell smoke around the tv . im thinking its the box


    any advice

    because last time i plugged out my box it stopped working

    Are all the boxes totally independant? ie seperate cable for each coming from the lnb?

    just checked my ftv box and thats not working now

    so iv 4 boxes and only 2 are working

    forgot to mention

    i had the ftv box plugged out all day thats including during the bad weather

    so how come its only on stand by ie the button is red

    whats wrong

    it couldn't be the lnb, could it?

    The Dish could be slightly out of Alignment. Check the signal strength on the Working boxes, i'll wager its quite low.
