Well. It arrived! About 8 o'clock last night after I went out, was a nice surprise when I came in pissed at 3 o'clocK Guess I owe an apology to An post- geez those guys work late on a friday, or maybe it was due to my phone call who knows.
Very happy with it so far, just 1 or 2 things I'm gonna nit pick.

    1) How long do the red dot sight's batteries usually last? I accidently left it on there for 2 hours or so and already it has faded big time. This usual?

2)My high cap mag works fine, the one that came with the Dboys M4, a mid cap one i ordered separately doesn't though. I fire and nothing happens, I take out the mag and 4-5 bbs come out with it. This usual? Same thing happens with the high cap but it fires anyway. Also- mids take ages to load! Thank god for high caps, although I hear theyre not as stable?

Seems like a solid gun overall, bar the flimsy stock, but I can live with that

Time to get some target practice in.

No it should last much longer, buy some new batteries, (you can get a load of different button batteries in Euro2 for, well, €2)
A RDS should last for 6 hours minimum if it's going to be any use on a full day of skirmishing.

BB's will always fall out so ignore that, get some silicone spray and lube EVERYTHING, except the bits you touch OFC. Spray the BB's spray the insides of the mags, spray the mag-well, and stuff like that, I have heard of some mid caps needing to be broken in before they work properly, so keep at it, but NEVER leave BB's in a mid cap for a long time (+ 3 hours or so) the spring will compress and you get boned.

Also get a speed loader (Here or here)
Speed loaders are one of the best inventions ever. Cheap too.

    AAAAAHHAHHHHH!!! NNNOOOOOOO!!!

DON'T FOR CHRIST SAKE GET SILICON GREASE ON THE HOP-UP RUBBER!

    baaaaaaddd juju!!

the hop up relies on friction between the bb and the rubber - prescence of lubricant == baaaaad.

yes, lube things up - no, not all the time and not to excess, and keep it clear of the bb's themselves and the hop up.

even if ya do though it'll clear after you fire a good few shots through it,

as long as you dont leave the silicone to soak into the hopup rubber your fine, it'll cause the rubber to swell which will then cause jams

when your finished cleaning the barrel or whatever, empty a couple of mags through the gun to clear out any residual silicone oil in the hopup
