    Hi folks,
I have a 1981 924 which has been outdoors for nearly a year now gathering dust. Haven't the time or garage to play with it.
It's black, (non turbo) 2 litre, leather interior.
Was running fine untill it was parked up, charged battery the other day but couldn't get it to start. Getting damp with the bad weather.
Bodywork is pretty decent when polished up.
Anyone interested in it let me know.

    Qualifies for classic insurance.

    Picture attached...

Hi Meathmannn, are the parts for these cars expensive/ readily available ? Also do you know the condition of the floor ?

    Hi,
floors in these are not an issue, unlike most older cars, as the whole body is galvanised.
    This means they can't rust!

There's tonnes of information on the net on the 924 model, but basically it came from a project between VW, Audi and Porsche in the 70's where they jointly agreed to produce a sports car and used a lot of their factory made parts to design it. The deal eventually went sour and Porsche kept up production by themselves.

So this means a lot of Audi and VW parts are interchangeable. The Porsche 924 engine is almost identical to the Audi 100 engine, and the VW camper van engine! Same with brake pads etc. all easily available. Theres lots of these cars in the UK so lots of bits available on ebay etc.

Photo was taken about 2 months ago on a rare sunny day!
There are a few scratches that you can't really see in it cos of the sunshine. You can see the tyres are very good, only did about 500 miles on them. And for any enthusiasts out there those are origional fuch alloys.

As I told the few people who pm'd me, I need to get rid of it as I'm movin, and haven't the time to play with it. It's gettin damp and needs tlc and a good home.
Summer of last year it was my weekend toy, ran fine.
If someone threw me 1500 euro they could get a nice project
